drills are made to make players gain more improvements, in short drills are made to make a player or a team to win. That’s why drills should be made fun and interesting.

My son is really into baseball and wants to learn how to properly play the game. Unfortunately, we live where the winters are brutal and there isn’t much around for inside fun. So, I decided to convert our barn into a batting area for him. I walled in a decent size area, heated it, and bought some hitting supplies. We have a routine and every night I test him on what he learned that day. It has been a great experience and he is passing his tests with flying colors.

Regardless of whether a pitcher uses a sidearm or over-hand delivery, there are a number of fundamentals to be learned. Let’s start with the wrist action. Good wrist action does a lot for a pitcher-it gives that extra “zing” to his fast ball and it gives him the good curve.

Pitching machines are important when teaching young hitters the proper way to bat. A coach or players cannot pitch as consistently to allow the hitter to learn the proper mechanics.

hey good video on basic hitting mechanics. I think for the young players starting to play baseball it is important for them to get the mechanics right first.
